This Wednesday, the 24th, the appointment of the members who will make up the Technical Advisory Program for the Implementation of Tax Reform was published in the DOU.

 

The group, separated by themes, will discuss each item in more detail. They are: Systematization Committee; Legal Analysis Group; Technical Groups; and Quantification Team.

 

The objective of creating this program is to assist in the drafting of future complementary laws that will regulate the points not yet fully regulated in EC 132/23.

According to the professor, the exclusion of these sectors compromises the democratic principle, highlighting that democracy involves the consideration of divergent perspectives and the active participation of society. He argued: "These people understand nothing about democracy. Democracy is listening to those who think otherwise. Democracy is participation. All democratic tax administrations in the world today require and act with taxpayer participation."

 

Hele highlighted that this exclusion could harm the tax reform process, transforming it into an initiative shaped by the chosen groups, to the detriment of what society and democracy promote.
